Adding worksheets dynamically

Using Excel 2007.

I have a workbook that already contains worksheets. I need to dynamically add worksheets based on an array of worksheet names. I also need to be able to cycle through this array and delete the worksheets in a different UDF.

I tried getting the total number of worksheets, indexing to the next one and then adding a worksheet and applying a name to it. But instead, I changed the name of one of my existing worksheets. This just tells me that an existing worksheet can have an index pass the count of the worksheets.

The following is what I tried for adding worksheets, but it didn't work properly.

      nTotalWorksheets = Worksheets.Count
      nTotal = UBound(aVars)
      
      For nIdx = 0 To nTotal
          Worksheets.Add
          Worksheets(nTotalWorksheets + nIdx).Name = "FP RawData " & aVars(nIdx)
      Next nIdx
   
  End Sub 'CreateFPRawTabs
