Hi,

I am attempting to show some data in a logarithmic plot but i have some of the data is negative. I know i can't plot negative data in logarithmic plots and i don`t want to convert this data to positive values but is there any way of turning off the alerts.

Cheers for you help

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Why is the data negative in the first place? Is there an error somewhere else, or are negative entries valid?

To plot on a log scale, use another column as your actual series anything <=0 would return a "N/A", else the actual data. This is untested, but should work.

example:

=IF(A1<=0,NA(),A1)

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the reply. Most of the data is positive but occasionally it can become noisy which means it goes below zero.

I had thought of using another column but i was wondering if the alerts could be turned off.

Thanks for your help anyhow
