Hello Everyone.
I work in demand planning and a big part of our job is allocating sku need into truckloads or containers based on a max level of cubes a container can hold.
As you can imagine our need is never to a full & exact container because it’s retail & calculated on need & weeks of stock, projected end of month & so on
First i’m not looking to reinvent the wheel of someone knows of a tool that does this please let me know
Otherwise I’m looking to distribute demand in a way that makes sense. An example might be 10 total units needed into 7 containers (because the total need is for 7.3 containers for example). I can’t just “round” all of them or I would be short or over the total number.

Ps… the need has to be as evenly distributed as possible. Mix is important. Ty again
