My question:

I need to have a cell at the top of my sheet always show me what the value is in the last populated cell of one particular column.

Can this be done with a formula? I have tried everything I can think of and looked everywhere I know. Please help!

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

Which column is it? What kind values does this column have -- numeric?

Lets say that the column of interest is B.

If B1 is in use, insert a new empty row, then in the new row

in B1 enter:

=INDEX(B:B,MATCH(9.99999999999999E+307,B:B))
