Any way to disable Power Query calculations?

I have a workbook with Power Query queries in it, and somehow something has happened that causes my computer to run out of memory simply upon opening the file. I open the file, Power Query starts doing something, and then it crashes - I cannot even open the PQ Pane to modify the queries.

Is there any way to open the file without Power Query doing anything so I can at least look at the queries and see what the issue might be? Something equivalent of disabling calculations in Excel?

Or are there any other ideas ... or is my workbook completely lost?

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
No good :(
try deleting the sources of your queries so that refresh will fail.
Or open the file on a computer that has more resources / 64 bit

When rebuilding your queries: Looks like you need to "break the refresh chain". Any chance to load intermediate tables to Excel and reimport them (these would work as staging queries)? Then create 2 query-groups: One to refresh first (that feed your staging tables) and the other ones.
