I have three cells A1, A2, A3. I want to return the formula in A4.

If A1 shows an arbitrary value in it then I want it to be 100, A2 200, and A3 500, if there's nothing in the cells then they will be 0.

It also needs to add up the values that were assigned from A1:A3.

Example 1: If A1 had value in it of 22, A2 had no value, and also A3 had a value of 10, then it would return 600 in A4

Example 2: If A1 had no value, A2 was 12, and A3 had no value. then it would return 200 in A4

I can't figure out how to do the formula in one cell.

Any help would be appreciated!

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
How about
=(A1<>"")*100+(A2<>"")*200+(A3<>"")*500
