Assigning Text To Cells Thru Formulas

Hello all,

I have a particular problem that I need some guidance with..


I have a formula that figures out a whole number. (ex. 335)

I have a text label (ex. "A") assigned to that particular formula outcome.

What I need is to automatically fill a group of cells with the text assigned to the outcome of the formula (ex. 355 cells filled with "A")

Any thoughts?

Enter below into any cell and is that what you mean?

=IF(71*5=355,"A","Not A")

The example you gave me printed only 1 "A"

I need the formula to print 355 A's in 355 cells in one shot....

You haven't provided enough information I'm afraid. Specifically, what range do you want "A" to be printed in and what is the formula that drives this?

One suggestion is input that formula below, copy it, then select the range of 355 cells and hit paste. If you have calculation set to automatic, it should fill that entire range with the value of "A"

Otherwise, a VBA based solution may be better...
