Hey all!
I've found yet another puzzle to test you guys which I am guessing will be a breeze!

OK, I have a simple = formula where on workbooks' spreadsheet is displaying a cell from another workbook.
Now, I'm needing this to be live so is it best to have auto refresh embedded or am I just overseeing a simple solution?

E.g. Workbook 1 A1 (CONTAINS) JANUARY
Workbook 2 J2 (CONTAINS) ="workbook location" A1
Now, If I changed the Workbook 1's A1 to February, I would like the Workbook 2's cell to display that automatically!
Thanks in advance

In the options of Excel, change the Workbook Calculations setting to Automatic.

Ok, I haved changed the options to auto and hasnt changed so, I will rewrite the workbooks to confirm I have everything right.
As for the Ctrl+Shift+F9, That works but I prefer having the workbooks change by itself live without pressing anything.
Thanks for the tips thought! Loving learning new parts!

OK,
I have rewritten the spreadsheets and still at non live point!
I would like to explain my situation a bit more if I may.
PC 1 = Workbook 1
PC 2 = Workbook 2

Workbook 2, Cell A1 is looking and copying data in Workbook 1 Cell A1
so looks like: W.book 1, A1 [January]
W.book 2, A1 [January]
Now, I have both Workbook open all day. If I change A1 in Workbook 1 to February, I would like the data in Wbook 2 to change as well as should but live!
By live I mean;
without saving sessions or manually updating information.
Is there a way of treating Workbook 1 as external data?
Or is there a way of making both Workbooks refresh frequently?

Thanks
