When you add new data and a column becomes too long, is it possible to have the data at the bottom of the column automatically go to the top of the next column? What about to the next sheet? I know I can do this in WORD, but can't figure out how to do it in EXCEL.

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Hi there
One way:
If you select an area, say A1:G10, and while selected type into A1, press enter, type into A2, press enter etc etc when you get to A10 your next entry will automatically go into the next column B1
Another way might be to protect your sheet and use an event macro to restrict selection to unlocked cells only
hope this helps
regards
Derek
