Hi everyone,

I am working on a research project for my professor and the project is related to age information of the subjects. What he gave me are a series of executive names and I have to research their age during certain year. Some of these already have an age for the specific person during certain year so filling in the rest is easy (for example: 1994, 45 then for 1993 will be 44).

Here is what I've done so far:

What I want to do is to go through all the 100,000+ rows and fill in the missing age information instead of pasting this onto each one. Moreover, some of the subjects don't have any information at all so I want the code to return a -1 so I can research those later.
This formula I use doesn't work very well because if there are data on the cell below or above it'll return some odd number.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for all you experts out there. I am still learning.

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
