I have a laboratory instrument logging data to an Excel sheet. Once fixed number of measurements for a particular condition have been logged, I would like to automatically jump to the top row of the next column without having to walk from the instrument to the computer. The computer cannot be located in the proximity of the instrument. Any suggestions would be appraciated. Thanks, Tom

All you need to do is right click the sheet tab, select View Code then paste in the code that KristenT posted.

Excel Facts

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Hi
Thanks for the update.. Let me explain what Kristen means.

1)Goto excel sheet where you dat is getting logged
2)Right -click at the place where it is written "sheet 1"(place where the sheet name is displayed)
3)Select view code( anew window will open)
4)Add this code there(one kristen gave)
5)Close that window
6)now come back to excel --when you will enter data beyond 30 row it will shift to next column

6)try this its a gud solution by kristen
