When I use the function: =TODAY() it inserts today's date but in American format?

I can use: =TEXT(A1,"dd/mm/yyyy")to change this into the format I want but is there a way to make this all occur in just one formula so that I don't end up with 2 cells containing dates?

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).

A date is a date no matter what format it is displayed as. If you don't like the default, just use Cell Formatting to change it.
