Hi,

How can I set merged cells (with wrap text option activated) to automatically expand when current height is exceeded ?

I've unsuccessfully tried many ways.

Can somebody help ?

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Excel will not change row height with merged cells - but you can try this. Choose a column at the far right of your workbook that won't show or print, lets say column Z.

With your merged cells starting in C2, have it formated to wrap text.

Extend Column Z width to just a little narrower then the merged cells width. Then put this formula in Z2. =C2. Format Z2 to wrap text.

The idea is: When you type in your merged cells it will copy over to a non-merged cell. The non-merged cell will expand to make the row the proper size.

Hope this works for you.
