I have an excel report that is already set up as a scheduled task on my computer. The problem is that if I'm not at the office, the report is not run. I can't just leave my laptop on all the time as my company runs updates frequently (forcing reboots) and I need to take the laptop home sometimes.

Does anyone have any ideas as how to resolve this problem? I could put the report on a shared drive and put a scheduled task on everyone's computer and hope someone's computer is on when the report is run. However, I was hoping for a smoother solution.

Is there a solution involving placing the report on a company server? I think several reporting tools (WebFOCUS and SAS) use a server to run scheduled reports.
