Average/day per pay period

Hi!

I am trying to make a formula that will give me the average number of quotes per day. The average per day is per pay period, which can have a different number of days each time. There are also two types of quotes each day, and I need to add both of those daily quote values together in the formula before getting the average. Really would appreciate any insight into how this can be done!

I am afraid your question is too vague for us to give you any good suggestions for (which is probably why you have not gotten any replies yet). You really haven't given us any detail.
In cases like this, it is often most helpful if you show us an actual example of your data, along with what you want your expected results to look like.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
