Hello All

We are all being told to back and then back up our back ups so with this info I have got a external hard drive to back up all my Excel workbooks.

However how can I back up all my macros and vba scripts as well can I just save a copy of the workbook and a copy of personel.xls (the hidden workbook) to the hard drive and all is well?

I just am stuck on this it sounds simple but I don't want to get it wrong and suffer should I need it.

Cheers

Colin

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
There are several options you can select.

My prefered one is to name each module sheet and export them to a central folder which can act like a library, then you just need to backup the folder with the module sheets in. You can then import them to any workbook when you need them.

Second option is, If all of your macros are in the personal workbook then take a copy of it and backup the copy.

You should also be aware that if you are using a network the network will backup your work if saved into a network drive.
