Bar Chart Coloring Based on Criteria

I received a request to programatically color code a bar in a chart based on different threshold criteria. Bars for values meeting one criteria would be one color, those meeting another would be a different color. Any thoughts on how to approach this?

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
