So I have done an experiment that I need to plot my data for. Since the data was experimental the points aren't exactly in a straight line. Is there a way excel can automatically do a best fit line?

Right now I just made a scatter chart with the data.

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Select the chart and run this code:
Code:
Sub Macro1()
    ActiveChart.SeriesCollection(1).Select
    ActiveChart.SeriesCollection(1).Trendlines.Add(Type:=xlLinear, Forward:=0, _
        Backward:=0, DisplayEquation:=True, DisplayRSquared:=True).Select

End Sub
