Best way of Displaying A Seperate Table of Data

I'm having a problem with what should really be something very straightforward I think. I've got a PivotTable of stats etc in excel - beneath this PivotTable I'd like to display a more granular level of detail. Only problem is the inability to adjust row/column width/height without one table effecting the other. What I require is the freedom to adjust the column/width of the rows/columns in the granular detail display, independently of the PivotTable above it.

I've just tried using a method where you use insert > object and then linked to a separate worksheet (thinking I could then adjust the rows/columns in here as I see fit) but what I'm finding here is that if you adjust the size of this display, it merely zooms in on the worksheet i.e. does not expand the cell range it's looking at.

I'll gung-ho from going in to any further detail - I reckon you get the idea of what I'm trying to achieve here. Anyone have any suggestions?

Many Thanks!

Rich

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
