Browse for Folder

Hi to all,

Please be gentle - I am a novice!

I have a very long project that starts with a 'Browse for Folder' procedure - all is fine throughout.
If the macro is run a second time I would like the 'Browse for Folder' part to start from the folder the user last selected. I have 2 working procedures but the user cannot browse 'up a level', only down.

I'm looking at the following code that I have found but am struggling with one bit - I can pass the result back to this Sub but can't quite work out how to alter it so the starting point is the previous result.

Any advice or alternative procedure welcome!

Change the "C:\" to a variable, which is passed as a ByRef argument to your BrowseForFolderShell subroutine. However, the inability to browse higher in the folder tree is a limitation of Shell.BrowseForFolder - see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb774065(VS.85).aspx.

Try the Application.FileDialog method instead - http://www.cpearson.com/excel/browsefolder.aspx

I'll look at the Application.FileDialog method and see how I get on.
