calculate ave while skipping cells?

I would like to calculate the average of the cells i selected while skipping some within the same row? e.g - =sumif(i50,i52:i59,"<>#n/a")/(count(i50,i52:i59)) this formula gives an error message! I would like to skip cell # i51 without an error message, please help

=(SUMIF(I50,"<>#N/A")+SUMIF(I52:I59,"<>#N/A"))/(COUNT(I50,I52:I59))
