Calculate hours

I need to calculate the hours worked, hours are 24hr time and can go into next 24-hour period, ie, 07:00 to 00:30. can someone help me with a formula for calculating hour many hours this is?

If you have a start time in A1 and a finish time in B1, then in C1:

=MOD(B1-A1,1)

That's what I use. And I have the format of all 3 cells set to Custom- h:mm.
