What is the formula to calculate percentage of one cell to another?

### Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the \$ sign).
Hi CarlaC:

Welcome to the Board!

If A1 is 100, and B1 is 10, then B1 is 10% of A1 -- and you will get that by

=B1/A1*100

Is that what you are looking for?

Regards!

Yogi

Formula is "one cell" divided by "another cell".
Format the result by Format|cells|Percentage.

=A1/B1

where A1< B1 and B1<> 0.

Stated otherwise:

=MIN(A1:B1)/MAX(A1:B1)
