I'm experiencing issues with the two calculation options "automatic except for data tables" and "manual" in my workbook. The workbook consists of several data tables and Excel sometimes tends to start calculating the data tables when I for example paste values into the input section of my workbook even though I've selected either "automatic except for data tables" or "manual". It seems to be random when it starts to calculate and when it doesn't: Sometimes Excel does not start calculating the data tables (which is good) and sometime it starts. Usually the problem tends to happen more frequently if I've many excel-sheets open or I have used the workbook for a long time. In addition, the problem does not occur when only entering in a value in one cell, only when I perform copy-paste-values either in a cell or range. The workbook does not use any macros and I hope to solve the issue without using vba.

Has anyone a suggestion on how to solve this issue?
