I am new to PowerPivot but surprisingly impressed. I am currently doing a BI rationalization for reporting tools. I have an extensive background in Cognos and would like to know if PowerPivot/excel can translate an english report to a french report? If not I assume you make a copy of the english and repoint to the french fields where applicable and then translate each heading manually.

Many thanks,
JCDL

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
No, there is no auto-translate in PowerPivot as of today. Would that feature be the difference between adopting PowerPivot and not adopting it? I'm curious more than anything.

And yes, your other approach works - copy the report, repoint to French fields as needed, edit headers.

It is not a show stopper, but I need to know how much work is involved to convert reports in both languages.
