Dear all, I have an Excel 2003 spreadsheet. I cannot increase the row length beyond 548 pixels or 409.5. And similarly, there is one column that I cannot increase beyond 1788 pixels or 254.71 . Now, I can increase the size of rows via going to print preview and editing the margins, but it merely shrinks the size of the paper and I cannot re-expand it to fit. Any help is appreciated, Bill

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.

Hi Bill

That seems ok.

According to the excel 2003 technical specifications the maximum row height is 409 points and the maximum column width is 255 characters.

Dear pgc01, Thanks for the response. Any suggestions for overcome this? It seems the way to do this is to Merge Cells.

Yes, merged cells will get you more length or height. I don't understand, however, why would you need it. Seems to me a cell with the maximum dimensions is already a very big cell. Can you explain?

Absolutely. I am printing on Huge Paper. I have to adjust the height and width of the rows to match the size of my paper. Because I am limited by size, I have to merge cells as a workaround to utilize the output paper I desire.
