Can't see excel graphs

Hi guys,

At work I have a bunch of different files saved that contain various graphs in excel 2007. Friday afternoon, when I tried to open the files, I could see the data, but the graphs were no longer visible. All I could see on the tab with the graph was gray and a message at the very top that says "automatic update of links has been disabled". I tried updating the links, but I got an error message.

I have tried googling this and could not find a solution. My excel is set so that all objects are visible; nothing is hidden. Do you know how to solve this problem? I know it is something about my computer, since I asked my coworker to check the files and he confirmed he could see the graphs.

Thanks for you help :)

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Your workbook has links to other files, yes?

Can you open those files manually from your computer?

Can you see the rest of the network from your computer?

Have any of your drive mappings changed?

Thanks for your help Ruddles. I figured out what the problem is and will post it here in case anyone ever searches and has the same problem.

My primary printer at work was removed and replaced with a new printer with a different name/route. After I deleted the old printer and set my default printer to the new existing one, I can now see all my graphs.

In the "old days" we used to check the printer drivers when unexplainable problems occurred. I guess we still should.
