cell format for hours

Hi

I have tryed to make time sheet, wher i type in the time when i start working and the time when I am done.

I then want to have the system calculat the hours.

I have found a format wher i have to type 08:00 16:00 but can i pre define so I just can type 800 to 1600 or 0800 to 1600 then the system knows that it is 08:00 to 16:00?

This is a basic exel question

Alternatively, if A1 contains 800 and B1 contains 1600, this formula:

=TEXT(B1,"0\:00")-TEXT(A1,"0\:00")

will return 8:00 when formatted as h:mm.
