Morning all,

Long time reader first time poster. I'm at a loss. I've used the old beauty that is ctrl+H and replaced a few thousand results, however now the cells come up with #REF! untill I either double click them or select the cell and hit enter.

Is there a faster way to have this update? Doing it manually isn't ideal, 2007 excel.

Hi coylem

I haven't run into that particular problem but I can suggest a couple of things that might help.

Have you tried copying all the cells and pasting them using Paste Special - Formulas? This might force Excel to look at the formula again and realise the reference is a reference.
I would also try highlighting the cells and hitting F9 for calculate.
Lastly, maybe hitting Control + ` (shows formulas, at least on UK Excel) twice might do something.

If you could give some more information regarding what the cell looks like beforehand that would be good - I think various types of pasting might be your best bet, though.
