Need the code it takes to uppercase from C2 to W100.

I am putting an "X" in cells that meet certain criteria want it to be uppercase automatically and turn the cell yellow automatically - but would like to do this with code instead of the Shift key or Conditional Formatting ...

Hi em,

How about?

<pre>Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Excel.Range)
'only look at our chosen range
If Target.Row = 1 Or Target.Row > 100 Then Exit Sub
If Target.Column < 3 Or Target.Column > 23 Then Exit Sub
'apply specified format
If Target.Value = "x" Then
Target.Value = "X"
Target.Interior.ColorIndex = 6
End If
End Sub</pre>
