Am looking for a formula that I can add to a cell that would change the color of the font if the answer exceeds the assigned maximum number. Appreciate any help.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Have you tried Conditional Formatting? Or is a formula what you principally want ??

I don't believe that you can change the formatting of a cell by a formula. You can use Conditional Formatting for this problem though. It sounds like your problem woiuld be a perfcet opportunity to use conditional formatting.
