Is it possible to change the background color(on selected cells) in the row and column headers in excel 2000? i.e. if I select cell A6 I want the background color "header" column A to be red and the background color in "header" row 6 to be red.

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
I have not seen this feature on any version, including XP (Excel's latest). Given that it's taken Redmond, Washington 8 years since 1994's Excel 5 version (featuring multisheet workbooks) to color the sheet tabs, it'll probably not happen anytime soon for row and column headers to be colored as a standard feature.

One, ugly, way, would be to hide the rows and column headers, and then, duplicate them in Column A and Row 1. Then, you could color them as you want !
