Hi i am new to excel and need help! i would like a cell to change colour automaticly when a number is entered, i have made a profile for every pupil in the school i work in and at the end of everyday a teacher has to put in a score of 0 - 1 or 2 0 to =red 1 to = amber 2 to = green.
i know they could right click on the cell and change the colour manually but they are pushed for time (+a lot of them are not computer literate and would find this difficult) i hope this is possible,if so please give a step by step answer.
thanks
Andy.

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

As a starting point, have a look in the built-in Excel Help for "Conditional Formatting". It is designed exactly for this sort of job. Post back if you are unable to apply it to your circumstances.
