Hi,

I would like to create a chart that shows 2 lines of data. One showing the monthly average time a task has taken in minutes and seconds, and the other showing how many errors were made per month.

E.G.

Jan, av time: 00:17:45 errors: 12
Feb, av time: 17:24, errors: 16

and so on.

I'd like these lines of data on the same graph so i can compare easily, months average time and months errors.

Is this possible, to chart time and a value on the same chart? I cant find the way to do this.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Chart both as normal, and then right click on one of them and go into the properties and plot it on the secondary axis. That way each can have their own distinct scale.

Hi, thanks for the reply,

You mean make 2 charts? Then go into properties of one and then do what...?

Not used charts much so may be a bit slow here :)

No, create one line chart so that both of your lines are charted. You'll probably see one line almost entirely on the bottom of the chart and the other looking "normal" in the middle. Right click on one, probably the one not on the bottom and select Format Data Series and then select Secondary Axis.
