Checkboxes In XL2003 Not Appearing In XL2010

Good afternoon!

I'm looking for (hopefully) a simple solution or alternative to using checkboxes in a spreadsheet that uses hidden rows (checkboxes within the hidden rows).

In XL2003 the checkboxes work perfectly, but in 2010 the checkboxes are not appearing.

Seems like there should be a simple fix or alternative, but I'm stuck.

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
