How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Do a conditional formatting in cell A1, and use an "AND" formula to reference all the cells that need a check mark...

On Cell "A1", do the following:
1. On the Conditional Formatting options, choose "New Rule..."
2. Use the last option: "Use a formula to determine which cells to format"
3. Use the following equation: =AND(C1 = "blah", D1 = "blah", E1 = "blah") ---NOTE--- instead of "blah", enter whatever you use to identify the cell as being checked.
4. Edit the format however you'd like.

If I use a check mark symbol in the cell, what should I type in the formula cells format to tell it was a check mark symbol?

I was able to make it work by using "yes" in the format.

Thank you so much!
William

After the name is highlighted is their a way Excel can generate the current date on a different cell box F1 also highlight after the C1,D1,E1 was filled.

Can you link a highlight cell on one excel file, so it can appear in another excel file with the same name. So, when the fill color is done one one file I want my other file to be highlighted at the same time (link), is that even possible?

Thank you,
William

As you get into further customizations, it becomes more difficult to create with normal Excel features without going into VBA. You had a variety of questions, and they are all easily possible to do if you create the code in VBA.
