color in excel

I have an excel file that has background color in some of the cells. The color is there when you preview, but will not print. This is a shared file and someone has done something. My color printer is fine.

Try clicking on File > Page Setup > Sheet tab, and deselect (make sure there is no checkmark) next to "Black and white".
