I have been asked to try and do this for a pupil.

1) They Select and option from Combo Box1 this in turn changes what is avail in Combo Box 2

IE Select memeber of Staff in 1 and then in combo box 2 a list of pupils for that teacher is in the list
If they then select a differnet member of Staff in Combo box 1 a different list of pupils appears in combo box 2.

We are using vlookup with the combos.

Solution if possioble must not use vb okay with macros.

thanks
Stuart

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Hello,

as an alternative to the excellent suggestions already made, here is an alternative.

Create the two COMBO BOXES

In A2, A3.... enter the teachers names

D1, E1 .... enter the teachers names (or COPY-->PASTE SPECIAL -->TRANSPOSE)

Under each teacher enter the pupils names.

For the first Combo Box have the input range as A2:A3... and the cell link as A1.

In G1 enter this formula

=OFFSET($C$1,ROW()-1,$A$1)

and copy down as fas as necessary.

For the second Combo Box have the input range as G1:G3...

You will have to determine what to do with the results, you will also need to change cell refs as necesary.

Is this any use?
