I have added a comment to a word doc to inform users whether a certain paragraph is needed, ie : it says : "{Delete this paragraph is Payment Terms state “none”}

I want it visible on screen, but I don't want this to print!!!! How do I stop it?????

thnx

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
If you want to show a quick text message on the screen but not on a printout you might do what I do.

Use the field code MACROBUTTON to display your message (the nice thing about this is that a user can't change part of your message unless they display field codes and most are clueless). Then format the MACROBUTTON as FORMAT/FONT/HIDDEN from the menu. Thus it won't print, but show up on the screen.

You want to get real fancy? Use a STYLEREF or a bookmark reference to return payment terms in an IF field. If the reference = "None" then include no text otherwise include the text you need in your boilerplate/template. Thus no User intervention needed and your document is fully automated!

:D
