When a comment is added to a cell it seems to display from its top right hand corner over the next cell. I have dragged it to a new position but it seems to default back to the top right hand corner. Is there any way of making it default to the position where the user places it.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

Hi Nigel,

You should be able to drag the comment box itself to your desired location (click on the box once so that the grey border appear around the box, then click and hol in this grey area and drag to wherever you want it).

Alternatively, you could go to Tools/Options and switch off the comment so that it only shows when you move the pointer over the cell containing the comment.

I have no trouble creating a comment, dragging it to where I want it to be and it stayin there. I tried it again just then and things are fine.
