I am currently attempting to create a conditional drop down using Data Validation - List, Name Manager, and =indirect() for the second Data Validation List.

I was able to get around multiple words in the second list by changing the function to =indirect(substitute(A1," ",""))

My current issue is that my original list has selections which contain more than one word, so I get an error - The Source currently evaluates to an error. I know that it's because there are spaces, and I know how to make the second drop down work, but I don't know what to do here.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Hi,
You are right regarding the spaces ...
Among the potential solutions, you can use underscore _
