I would like to create an IF statement that uses a conditionally formatted cell as the logical test
for example:

=If(A1has conditional formatting,1,0)

Is this possible?

"No" is almost as helpful as "yes and here is how" for me.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Is "I don't believe so" helpful?

I do know that you can press f5, click Special, select Conditional Formats, click OK; the cells containing CF will be selected.

In the explanation it is stated the "cells" containing CF will be selected. But when I try the "column" is selected. any Idea how I can get to the selection of just the cells containing CF?

The column is selected because CF has been applied to the entire column, I suspect.
