I have dates written into range H3:BE3

I have dates writen in BF8:DG8

I would like a condditional format formula that colours individual cells in the range H8:BE8, if a cell in the range H3:BE3 is the same as a date in BF8:DG8.

In other words, let's say H3 has the same date as BF8, then cell H8 would be coloured black, otherwise, not coloured at all.

What would I type in the formula box of conditional format (by formula) for this ?

Kind regards,

Chris

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Re-reading what I wrote, it was probably very confusing.

My task is this ...

for the cell H8, I'd like it filled black, if any date within the cells BF8:DG8 contain the same date (written within the cell) as any date found within the cells H3:BE3.

I'd like the same black fill to occur for cells I8, J8, K8 etc etc all the way through to BE8.

I hope that makes a little more sense.

Kind regards,

Chris

Hi, are you looking to match cell by cell i.e. H8=BF8, I8=BG8 or match the call to the range i.e. H8 = anything in BF8:DG8?

OK, sorry posts crossed there

=MATCH(H8, $BF$8:$DG$8, 0)
