conditional formatting question

conditional formatting question.... can i format a1 so that if a2 is higher than 50 the cell turns red but if a value gets entered into a3 the cell will go back to white???

Condition 2
Formula is = =$A$2>50 Format is Cell Shade Red

What is in cells A2 and A3....if you have say 65 in cell A2, A1 is red.....but if you enter a number in A3 it returns to white. I thought that was what I read you wanted.

ya for some reason it didnt work with the "" at the end but it worked as a <>0... thanks for your help
