Conditional formatting

if a cell in column t contains "s", i want the cells from column A through P in that row to be highlighted. I've done this before but now I cant figure it out When i do =t1="s" and have A:P as the range only column a gets highlighted but not B:P. any help?

I often find that when this happens, if I instead set the conditional fomatting on one cell first, then paste the format over the other cells, it 'takes' ...

So, if you set the formatting on A1 to be =$t1="s" and then paste special format over B1:P1, it should work.
