Conditional formatting

Morning all,

I have a range in which each cell has an if statement which if TRUE returns a value, but if FALSE returns "". I'm trying to conditionally format this row so that if the formula returns "" the cell becomes completely unformatted (i.e. no borders etc.).

I'm sure the answer is quite simple but I'm really struggling. I've tried formatting if the cell is blank, but I guess since it has a formula in it excel doesn't see it as blank. I've tried to format if the cell contains "", but that doesn't seem to work either.

Any ideas?

Edit to say I'm using Excel 2007

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
I actually got round it another way by having a hidden column which looked to see if the cell with the if statement formula was returning "". If the formula result is "" then return FALSE.
