Trying to get the following conditional formating formula to work. I'm trying to highlight values that don't equal 40 in column Q based on duplicate values in D.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

=(SUMIF(D:D,D:D,Q:Q))<>40

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Combined total

Entry 1 = 20
Entry 1 = 25

So both numeric cells would highlight since the combined total for for 'Entry 1' does not =40

that is not going to be possible with just a formula in conditional format. You would need a helper column. Will the totals only be for the current and next line? Or would it be a running total (line 1 + line2, then line 1+2+3,etc)?
