Can I turn a row a certain color ONLY if a particular cell is blank.
In addition, I need a formula for my summary sheet that only SUMS certain color rows.

Can this be done?

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
It sure can

Do you need a VB solution or do you have space for some helper columns?

Hi

OK 1 step at a time

Can I turn a row a certain color ONLY if a particular cell is blank

Highlight your area

Format>>Conditional Format>>Formula Is = $A1=""

Change A1 to whatever the cell is and set your format

In addition, I need a formula for my summary sheet that only SUMS certain color rows

If you can use a helper column you can reference the blank cell in question in a

=IF(A1="", 1, "")

style. Then just =SUM the helper column

Give it a try and let me know
