Conection String - Hide Id & Pw

We create pivot tables that are driven by external data. In previous versions of Excel (prior to 2007) the connection string to the external data was buried in the workbook (yes, it could be found, but essentially it was hidden). Now in Excel 2007 the user can simply click on the Data/Properties button and display the user id and password into the legacy system. From a security perspective this is completely unacceptable.

In workbooks we built prior to Excel 2007 the user would simply right-click the pivot table and select the Refresh button to load the pivot table. No mods to Excel were required.

I saw a similar post to this one, but no solution was provided so I am resurrecting the issue.
