Consecutive invoice numbering

I have designed an invoice for a friend, what I am looking for is to be able to have an invoice number system that will change consecutively every time the template is either reloaded or refreshed, i.e. page numbering set 150 after the page has been refreshed or reopened say 5 time the invoice number now shows 155.
Is this possible I know that I can set this up as a page number but I need the invoice number in a cell not at the bottom of the page.
